Mistakes You Should Never Commit In Google AdSense
Google is currently considered one of the top search engines. The company has brought smiles not only to its searching users, but also to online businesses that are all vying to climb to the very top of the list of searches. Thanks to Google’s adwords management program, its flagship “Google Adwords” allows websites to be included in the list of search results. On the other side of the coin is “Google AdSense” which provides good income for website owners who place Google ads on their sites.
At first glance, Google’s adwords management program may appear very easy to use. Unfortunately, this is not the case. There are many factors website owners need to consider before they sign up for Google AdSense. They have to adhere to guidelines so they don’t end up misusing the essence of Google’s AdSense and adwords management program.
Here are some of the simplified policies to make the AdSense and adwords management program more understandable and coherent:
Don’t click your AdSense ads
This is one of the basics that everyone should know concerning Pay Per Click marketing. Don’t ever click on your ads yourself! You should also remind your family not to do so, as well as your office colleagues and friends. Although doing so will increase your income, it may also result in the closure of your AdSense account.
Don’t use automated clicking tools or software
This is a more deceptive version of clicking your own ads. Adwords management wouldn’t be nearly successful if it created a basic AdSense system that was unable to detect fake clicks. Beware – AdSense is smarter than you think!
Keep confidential information confidential
Don’t divulge any confidential data about your AdSense account. This includes the CPM, CTR and income computed through individual ad units.
Label headings appropriately as “advertisements” or “sponsored links”
Any labels other than the above-mentioned ones are not allowed.
Don’t alter the AdSense code
You can customize AdSense according to your personal preference. However, never try to change codes or you might interfere with the layout. The code would then stop working since it violates the TOS.
One account will work for two or more websites
There is no need to open 4 AdSense accounts for 4 different websites. If you did so because you’re afraid that Google would close one account for a TOS violation, then it’s not worth it. They would probably find out anyway and close all of your accounts.
Don’t send ads via email
Per the TOS, you are not allowed to place ads in emails. Remember, Google is able to detect this violation because their logs show all email messages.
Avoid excessive keyword stuffing and advertising
No one can really say when too much is too much. But you will know based on the income you’re receiving. If you’re getting enough, then you have used just enough keywords and key phrases to generate traffic. Just make sure you’re not including more than what’s required.
Language support
Make sure that the language you used for your website is supported by AdSense. You can check with the AdSense program to verify which specific languages it will support. This is very important. If your language is not supported, your AdSense codes will be useless.
