Google Ad Scheduling
Google has one of the best PPC search engines today by the name of Google AdWords. All PPC campaigners must have surely heard about Google AdWords. At present Google has also included ad scheduling for AdWords. In this new system the advertisers can select as to which of their ads can appear at a given point of time and also how much should each ad cost.
You can simply set or change the above features by going into the dayparting section of AdWords. Then you should click on “Turn on ad scheduling” and then specify the time zone in which you are located. After setting the time zone you can enter values for time periods when the ads will be displayed. Ad scheduling is very much beneficial for those businesses that have major clients in other countries.
For example, if your major clients are located in USA and Japan you can schedule your ads to be displayed during the business hours of these countries. If you are targeting customers in your country and you think that majority of the customers will log in at night after dinner then you can schedule the ads accordingly. You also have the option of adding several day parts in each day. There is also a feature on Google AdWords by the name of bulk edit where you can mention hours of the day when the advertisements will be displayed and apply this schedule for the entire week. Most PPC engines have a default setting of your ads being displayed all the time.
You can also access the advanced settings area to edit settings like how much would you like to pay for each pay per click ad. For example, if you come to know that your customers purchase more of your products and services between 10 am and 6 pm everyday you can place your bid little bit higher around that time. Hence if you normal bid is $1 then you can increase it to $1.3 during the business hours between 10 am and 6 pm. During non business hours you can again lower the bid to $1.
However you should consider the time zone in which your country is located as well as the time zones of customers in different countries. Hence you should be sure that you make provision for different time zones when you are chalking out your ad scheduling. Your ad scheduling will not affect your ad budget. However you should remember that pay per click engines like Google may not be able to spend the entire budget allocated by you in case you specify a narrow time frame.
It becomes very necessary to maximize the power of your ad scheduling. Do research and do not forget to check your analytic programs that will show you the best conversion times as well as results when you lower your bids or place them higher. We conclude that ad scheduling is very much important for getting maximum response from visitor.
