In reality, it will take you just 4-5 lines of coding in HTML to create and run a functional web site and if you use around 6-7 lines then you can create a website that is moderately optimized. The truth is that when you can create such an optimized website with just 5-6 lines of HTML code then why the world is running after getting their website created in complex codes. Some would say that it is because of the demand of competitive markets while other would say that they want the website to be as advanced as it can be. But the truth is that you can code your website in simple HTML and use proper search engine optimisation elements to drive traffic and revenue to your website. If your search engine optimisation strategy is good enough then you will not require the extensive coding and will not have to integrate any special codes into your website.
Search engine optimisation is the quickest way to reach a higher page rank on the top search engines. Most of the top SEO companies focus on some of the popular methods that can deliver effective search engine optimisation. In doing so, most SEO firms miss out on some of the key elements like:
• Repetition is not sufficient: There are several search engine optimisation strategies that don’t spell out the need for repetition of the keywords. Most people would be happy with 1 repeat of a particular keyword but the truth is that to make search engine optimisation successful, you need to incorporate the keyword more than once.
• Lack of Emphasis: There are several SEO firms who don’t use italics, bold, “quotes”, and underline, as much as they can. Using this emphasis can optimize your webpage.
• Inadequate Navigation and Site Architecture: There are many people out there who would use their home as a link anchor text and this happens quite frequently. The most important thing is to put structured thought towards creating the navigation of the site to maximize and support search engine optimisation.
The problem with the SEO firms is that they try to incorporate the basic minimum and at the same time their attitude is that of a get-my-rank-quickly attitude. This is due to the competitive markets but this can lead to sloppy search engine optimisation. The end result is that the business has to suffer and sometimes when SEO firms get involved in black hat techniques, they can end up having the business websites banned by different search engines. What you really need is to look deeper at the things that exist within the boundaries of search engine optimisation and how they can be used for your benefit and to achieve the online company objectives.
Repetition of keywords holds a lot of importance but you also need to understand that excess of everything is bad. Hence when you are repeating keywords for search engine optimisation make sure that the repetition is generous and nor too overwhelming because then you might be left behind by the search engines.

Developing Content
Your content needs to be unique. It should not be something you have rewritten or paraphrased from another site. You should come up with new content on a frequent basis as well. Product descriptions should be rewritten often as well. This means that you change the information available regarding those items with different language. It can be time consuming, but you will get more consumers that way.

Being Able to See Duplicate Content

Yahoo Search Engine Filter
Yahoo has a similar approach to Google. When a query is performed by Yahoo the duplicate content is going to be removed. They also look at the crawling information and index stage. The query is completed when a real time search by a user is done. Yahoo wants to get rid of content as soon as it is found and before the user sees it.
Microsoft Live has also added to their search engine. They are being very aggressive in their search for duplicate content, to the point of launching a new scheme at the end of 2007. This new filter allows for the duplicate content to be found faster. Instead of being similar to Google Microsoft will completely remove the duplicate content from the index. While Google still allows the index view at a side bar.
Microsoft will allow only one copy of an article and will not allow the visitor to see the other copies. If MSNbot does find the duplicate content the page ranking will also take a severe downturn. With this being the case anyone with a website needs to be extremely careful if they have duplicate content or more than one website.

The Filter
Google has what is called a duplicate content filter for web sites. This filter will only index on of the articles rather than both. So if you have two articles on a web site only one of those pages will be indexed. Usually the article of duplicate content posted in the index is the first page Google came across while crawling the web.

Search Engines Target
Search engines care if a site has similar content for several reasons. Many search engines have been trying to delete duplicate content on the internet for one major reason: It is bad for business. Search engines want to be the top site for visitors in providing information that is available on the web. Since they desire this they need to regulate how information can be displayed. The search engines strive to make the quality and information unique when a search is performed as part of this responsibility.

Five and Six Penalty for Duplicate Content
If the structure is identical, but the content is considered reminiscent of past content you are still going to get a penalty from search engines. In other words the structure and linking scheme are the same for site 1 and 2. The content also seems to be very closely related.
This is a case where content writers will swap words by using a dictionary or thesaurus to avoid detection by search engines. The fact is in the eyes of Google this is duplicate content and it will be removed from the index and offered a lower page rank.
The sixth issue is when the structure is unique, but the content is duplicate. In this case the site content has been created by using information off of other sites and sources in a patch work that creates a new structure and linking scheme. Unfortunately this does get caught by Google and other search engines. The filtering system behind the duplicate content is so fine tuned that it is almost impossible to create non duplicate content when you use online resources to gather information. In order to stop your website from becoming a target you should also learn the reasons behind why search engines care about duplicate content.
