December 29, 2008 by James Oliver

It’s been the worst kept secret in America for almost a month now, but finally, on Sunday, to absolutely nobody’s surprise, Walmart began selling iPhones. Americans can now walk into any of Walmart’s thousands of outlets and pick up an 8 gig iPhone 3G, priced at $197 dollars or its 16 gig counterpart for $297 dollars. 5. Will Apple’s Macworld decision hurt the Little Guy

December 20, 2008 by Matt Thomas

Earlier in the week we reported that Apple were pulling out of Macworld after this year. In doing so, the company have all but said that they do not need the trade show circuit to sell their product, so strong is their marketing team and relationship with the consumer. This may well be true – Apple do enjoy a marketing platform unlike any other, if there’s a major new development or product, you’re likely to hear about it, whether you like it or not.

The SEO Company or SEOCO is a search engine optimisation company on the internet. They work with website optimisation, link baiting, social media marketing, and link building. SEO Company has been in business since 2006. Since we are about to roll into 2009 that is only 3 years in which they have had a business. However, you do learn that the company personnel has 5 years experience overall. Five years is not a long time either, until you consider how long the internet has really been around. Internet was not popularised until the mid 1990’s, which means five years is pretty decent for knowing about the business.

  8. Recovering from being hacked

December 18, 2008 by Matt Thomas

Occasionally unfortunate individuals come to us and say that they have either received word from Google that there may be ‘badware’ being distributed from their site, or they have actually received a badware warning when browsing their own site. This is not a nice thing to happen, not least because it immediately presents you with two equally thorny problems; firstly, getting rid of the badware and secondly convincing Google that you have gotten rid of the badware.

  12. Windows XP, stubbornly clinging on

    by James Oliver

It’s a tale as old as the personal computer. Windows come up with a new operating system, they release it with a huge fanfare, then develop the next one. When that one comes out they quietly phase out the old one. Simple. Well, not that simple, not this time anyway. It appears that XP, the OS before Vista, is refusing to die a quiet death.

It is widely anticipated that a prominent Democratic lawmaker is to request that the FFC (Federal Communications Commission) postpone the vote on a planned radio spectrum auction. The proposal, as it stands, is that eventual buyer would be required to devote a portion (about 25%) of the AWS-3 segment of airwaves to providing free broadband services across the United States. The vote is currently scheduled for next Thursday.
