Link building is very important to making sure you are getting the clients to your page, but there are still five elements that are required for on-page SEO which is a little different than building links. Luckily the five points are going to be easy to learn as they can be summed up quite nicely.

Point 1: The titles you use on the page need to be created for SEO. This means that you need enough keywords in the title to get a good page ranking, and you also need the title to be in an HTML tag. Any title on your page should be under 60 characters in length to make a higher page ranking.

Point 2: Pages don’t always have to have meta description tags, but it is very helpful to increasing your page ranking and offering an explanation to your consumers. The meta description should be 25 to 30 words or less. The rule of thumb is 150 characters or less. The keywords aren’t as important in meta descriptions as they are in the titles. The meta description is another way to entice individuals to choose your site.

Point 3: There are texts called anchor text. This is what links your page to other pages throughout your site. The text needs to have keywords in it to help create the links. You also need to be unchanging in the format that you create for the URL’s. This helps keep the pages together as well as helps the Page Rank from Google higher.

Point 4: The headers on your page need to have keywords in them as well. This will increase the page rank. The keywords should be something from the title you created to keep the interest. Singular or Plural versions of the keyword are fine.

Point 5: We have been talking about keywords a lot above. To narrow down what you should do with keywords let’s discuss it a bit. You need the keywords 3-4 times in a text. 2 percent keyword density is a lot for one keyword, but it is not a lot when you have 5 keywords you are using. The keywords should be in bold or with bullets to catch the individuals attention as well as the page rank.

These five steps are critical to your on-step SEO for your website. By following these you can be sure to get the best ranking for your pages.
