If you want more consumer base then consider what the leaders in the industry are doing.

You need to look at tactics, auditing, search engine marketing, and the advertising budget you have. For example, with auditing you are going through your website to see how many people actually bought something on your site and the average amount that they spent. You also need to do a search for the keywords these individuals used to get to your site.

Most websites can improve their search engine optimisation tactics just by knowing what works and making it work even better. You don’t want to change your tactics too much and lose what is working though. To measure your success in SEO options you need to consider several things. When you do a search for your website can you find it on the top 10 Google results? If you visit an information site about what you sell is there a link to your page? Should there be? These questions need to be asked to measure your success.

There are many companies that can help you answer these questions, but first it is best to do a search like we described above to see if you need the help. Your page rank, site visitor log, and even your survey and newsletter options can tell you about your success. You can’t just look at the revenue you are bringing in and determine if that is your SEO success. Your way to understand your success is by the numbers.
