Title Length
The title length for your web page should be kept short. In fact it shouldn’t be more than 65 characters long including any spaces you may have. Your title will get displayed only if it fits in this 65 character length. Any longer and the search engine will reject it. A shorter title length may not offer the most about your site or its page. Take advantage of the length. There are only a few search engines that display more than 65 characters, and Google is not one of them.
Each page needs a meta tag. A meta tag is a description with keywords related to your web site or that specific page. A meta tag is a shorter title offering more information about the title and therefore the web page. These are not critical to rank, but they do help you get more hits with the consumer. The consumer wants a description about the page they are visiting before they actually click on it. This meta tag will offer that as long as it is innovative, informational, and important. You can also use bold for the titles or meta tags to gain more notice with the search engine and consumer.
