Many people believe that Google explicitly forbids the use of symbols in add text and, it’s true, in some cases, if you use them, you will see a message from Google chastising you for the use of unnecessary punctuation or symbols. However, there are other symbols that Google will allow its advertisers to use. Used sparingly and appropriately these could make the difference between an ad that gets a click and one that doesn’t even register on a web user’s radar.

Chinese Search Engine scandal

It appears that Baidu let a number of unlicensed medical companies buy sought after positions on its search platform, which hugely increased the number of people clicking on the links to useless, yet very expensive medical services.

Banker hits the big time with iPhone App

However, after writing the game in his spare time and placing it on the App Store, that’s just what it became. The game proved to be a huge hit and to date, has earned Steve around $250’000 dollars.

Virgin America offers In-Flight Internet access to Passengers

Latest iPod narrows the gap to the iPhone

President-elect Obama’s commitment to technology

Search Engine Giants protect Freedom of Speech

Google CEO, Eric Schmidt to join Obama on the Campaign Trail
October 21, 2008 by Matt ThomasIt’s not as if there was ever any doubt about who Google CEO, Eric Schmidt was supporting in the US election. He’s been an unofficial supporter of, and advisor to, Senator Obama on tech and, strangely to some, clean energy issues for months now. However Schmidt’s, and tacitly Google’s support for the Senator took a more serious turn yesterday with the announcement that Schmidt would be joining Obama for the final hectic weeks of the campaign.
