Corporate Blogging and Marketing
A recent survey released has shown that there are still some concerns regarding corporate blogging. There is also information that was released regarding marketing that is apparently changing the face of how a search enables a company to stay in the forefront. Eurocom Worldwide released the survey just yesterday showing that services like Yahoo and Google provide are changing how the internet as well as other businesses must face their marketing. There have been many developments in the last ten years that have allowed more than 350 technology executives to give input on the marketing schemes being created.
Eurocom Worldwide’s survey shows that 4 out of 5 executives have stated the importance of search engines. In fact these 75% of executives believe that the internet especially search engines have been a huge impact on many corporate communication and marketing schemes they have devised in the last ten years. The survey is going to lend weight for the continued importance of using the internet to market a company. The fact is that whether you are a professional or a consumer the search engines are allowing you to find what you need and the information being presented is beginning to become more targeted.
The survey has also shown that 3 out of 5 executives of the companies have found that they need to increase the amount they spend on internet advertising to make it more successful. This means that 59% of the individuals surveyed have been increasing the amount allotted to internet marketing in the last few years and will increase it even more during 2008. The internet marketing idea is allowing for the best value for money in advertising. Being able to communicate with a wider range of consumers regarding business products and services for a lower cost has been creating a better situation.
Marketing communications is at 43%, public relations is at 42%, and trade shows and exhibitions have become 13% of the marketing scheme. This means that the marketing has been happening more on the internet and has provided a lot more business.
Blogging at the corporate level is another thing that was a part of the survey by Eurocom. They have found that 27% of the executives say that they have created a blog with their company. 16% of the companies are expecting to start a blog in the next year. It is not really a surprise to find that 47% of the respondents of the survey do not blog. They don’t see the value and they also find it is to time consuming. Overall it seems that many are still not sure that corporate blogging is really going to help promote the business to where it needs to be. 50% of those who do blog believe that it helps to improve interactions between the public and the business. 21 percent find that they are using the blog to debate issues, and 19 percent feel it raises their search engine optimisation to have the blog available.
