Denuo’s Tobaccowala - Part 2

Tobaccowala is not new to this business. Not only does he serve in the two positions within PGM, he is also on the board of SMG Next, a futures practice business he founded. PGM, which was formed in 2004, oversees Starcom MediaVest Group, SMG Next’s parent company, and Zenith Optimedia.

All three of these companies allocate over $40 billion a year in global media. Tobaccowala’s twenty-five years of experience in this field is a clear indication of why they are doing so well. Under his direction, SMG launched a division that dealt in videogame leveraging for marketing, mobile marketing, video marketing and search applications.

He was also a large part of SMG’s initial digital and interactive branch. A definitive expert in the field, he was named to the Advertising Ages Interactive Hall Of Fame, and has been featured in leading industry magazines such as Point, BusinessWeek, and Fortune for his innovative work in the field. He also serves on the board of directors of Revenue Science, a behavioural marketing firm. He has penned quite a few articles for industry magazines, won numerous awards and has his own views on Google, mapping, and why the Internet still needs to work on being a better product promoter.
