Designing a Top Ranking Web Page – Part 1

August 25, 2008 by Admin

Rankings are based on algorithms, but who can really understand that math or wants to take the time to figure out how to create the highest ranking web page based on the math? Some individuals believe that there are mathematical reasons for keywords to be placed in a page and that there is an exact number for keywords in a page. This belief is supposed to make sure that the web page is at the top of the list every time, but is this really the case?

The fact is you don’t have to concern yourself with the math. The computer program is going to rank a page based on several things. You need to be more concerned with titles, keywords, and meta descriptions as a way to entice the traffic on to your site. Of course they still have to be able to find you. So it is better to know that the algorithms will get you there, but not doing a lot of math to figure it out.

We do want to make sure that you get the information you need into order to gain the rankings you need. After all, with the way Google has changed things it is easier to look at what you need to do rather than being a math wiz. There are ways to track search results. You can watch the search engines and make sure that you are on the top in the rankings, but this could mean a lot of extra time has been spent.

The point is that you shouldn’t have to spend this time. In fact it is a waste of time trying to figure out how the algorithms work in order to get the best page rankings that you can get. There are simpler methods to use in getting on top without the math.

You do need to understand how the search engines work and how to get the top ranking, but this can be simpler than taking an in depth approach into the entire process. The larger picture will help you get the information you need to get the top rankings. By following the steps below you can be sure to get the best rankings every time with minimal effort.
