Experts Say Spend More on Marketing

In a recession many companies pull back on their expenses; however experts in the SEO field are saying the companies should be doing the opposite. They should be spending more on marketing to perfect their websites. The credit crunch will affect business and budgets, but SEO is relatively cost effective compared to other marketing. Therefore, it should not be reduced.

In fact 75 percent of businesses use search engines to find suppliers. This means marketing is the key. A company has to fight harder in a recession to stay on top. By offering more to the marketing aspects of a website then a company can remain on top easier. There is a lead time for the investment to show results for marketing. This has to be expected in any type of business. However, the point is it will happen and to gain more momentum one must use the marketing to get their message across. A business that offers SEO will have a better return on any investment made in marketing over other options.

You of course don’t want to just create a website for search engines, but you can combine a nice design with that of a SEO happy site. There is a better chance of getting through the recession if one caters to the SEO marketing for the increased sales it can bring. Marketing is an investment with a return, unlike other parts of a business that is just cost. SEO will get a company through the recession.
