Google Tries to Help Out Yahoo

Google has offered to create an advertising tie up that would allow Yahoo to be less of a target for the buyout Microsoft has offered. Yahoo was unreceptive to Google’s offer however. Yahoo have thought about outsourcing their search advertising with Google, but it seems the arrangements in the directors minds is not as great as one would hope. While it would solve some of Yahoo’s problems with cash Yahoo is still reluctant to take the offer on.

Instead Yahoo has taken on their own company in an attempt to thwart any buy out of need for common ground. Yahoo has just purchased Maven Networks to help with the media and advertising coverage they need in order to succeed in the next three years. With the buyout of Maven Yahoo will be able to start rallying against Google’s current advertising profits and hopefully turn the company around to reduce any need for a takeover. The announcement to buy Maven was released just a day after Yahoo refused to allow Microsoft the buy them out.

It is though that Microsoft will continue to try and take over the company, but it has yet been unsuccessful as Google’s tie up has also been.
