Have you been wondering what works for website promotion and how some websites may be getting more traffic? The thought that ugly websites are working better in some cases has been seen as true. It was once said by Sally Gunnell, a gold medallist that if you are ugly you try harder.
While this is not always true it lends to one thought about why some websites, even the horrible looking sites are doing better on the internet than others. Currently the thought is that these ugly websites are more popular because of the tools they use to promote themselves.
It is not about the design of the website, but how the website is marketed in some cases. The uglier websites have been suing search engine optimisation above design in order to get their website promoted for the consumers. If you try hard to get your search engine found by Google and other top search engines you will be recommended in a higher light. In other words the ranking you will receive from the search engine will get your points over a site that can’t be found. So it is not all about cosmetics for websites.
