Medio is going to provide a white label search and advertising solutions for the mobile network. This means that operators such as T- Mobile International, Verizon and Tellus, and other mobile companies in the UK, Germany, Holland, Austria, and Czechoslovakia are going to have more chance to advertise with a pay per click ad in more sites. Currently for Medio’s mobile network they have Jamba, Gameloft, and Yell.com as publisher sites in the UK and Europe. Another Mobile company, Teporo is one of Medio’s top advertising clients in the UK. They are one of the companies that have been looking for search boxes for their products and wanted the service by Medio.
Medio had to look at the mobile campaigns in both the UK and US. They looked at the cost of these campaigns and found there was definitely a difference. The UK average CPC price is higher therefore more brands are willing to pay more for the pay per click advertising Medio is going to offer. The idea is that the UK will be getting higher returns on their campaigns because they have a higher click rate. Medio is hoping that the companies will want to build strategic relationships with their company over sharing customer information with sites like Google and Yahoo.
