Record Traffic Gaining Ground

January has shown a huge traffic increase related to the US presidential elections as well as some celebrity on-dits. This increase in the newspapers online traffic seems to be affecting several of the top sites. The Associated Newspapers website has also seen an aggressive increase in their visitors.

The search engine optimisation that they have been employing in the last few months has increased their show business coverage pages visitors in the last month. It is not just about the search engine optimisation; however, it is due partly to the death of Ledger and Spear’s constant issues relating to the psychiatric evaluation in Los Angeles. These two high profile stories have certainly helped many newspaper websites gaining in visitors.

Another website that has seen an increase in traffic is the Mail Online. Mail Online has seen their page views increase from 105 million to 142 million in the last month. This is ground breaking news for the company as well as other sites. The fact that they are gaining more visitors due to the stories will keep them in the high numbers all year long. So the traffic is helping to gain ground in visitors.
