Ten Reasons for an Increase in Your Search Budget - Part 2
Reasons for the Increase
First when you are trying to decide what your budget for the next year is going to be you need to think about factors such as search query volume. The search query volume will increase. This increase is usually going to be because of certain factors in your business. In other words a marketing related event can cause the increase in specific categories. Most often you will find that if a search query growth increases by 10 percent then your additional clicks are going to add up. If you don’t allocate funds for that you will be scrambling to find that appropriate payment.
Other media can drive up the search engine behaviour as well. For instance you may find that instead of store traffic increasing the search queries are increasing due to personal conversations that have led to online buys rather than store buys. This means the offline media buys, PR, and viral marketing have increased the search behaviour as well as the personal conversation. Brands and generic searches can also drive up the price per click.
In the third reason you will find better targeting options by the search engines. This means the click terms will increase. When the selection for ads increases you will find that the clicks per your site will also increase.
