The Pay Per Click System

September 25, 2008 by Admin

What is a pay per click system and how does it work for you? If you are an Internet marketer or web owner, you probably have considered one hundred and fifty thousand ways to market your web site. Well, maybe you haven’t gone that far yet, but you have probably considered some SEO or search engine optimisation solutions, or perhaps pay per click. Either way, you are going to have to figure out the best way to get your web pages ranked number 1, or at least in the top ten positions with Google and other search engines. If you are not worried about PR or Page Rank, then skip this topic and perhaps read something more of interest to y ou.

Pay per click any way you slice it is a paid program. If you want to reach the top ranks fast, buying your way requires that you setup a PPC campaign and start bidding on the most popular keyword terms and phrases. The dude that pays the most for keywords gets the first listing. So reach into your pocket and expect to pay a pretty penny buying your way to the top of Google’s PR.
Each time someone clicks on your links, dig into your pocket because you will have to pay for that click with every user. So you see that PPC systems can cost you a fortune in the long run. Is it worth it? Depends, on how much time you want to spend on organic search engine optimization verses how much you want to spend on web design, etc, etc, etc, and the list continues. PPC systems are worth it if you have the extra cash, and if you lack the skills to perform organic optimization on your web sites. You could very well spend a small fortune hiring someone else to get you to the top ranks.

With PPC systems, most search results are ads. Each ad is placed by Google, Yahoo, etc, based on the price paid for the ads. The ads are well known as Google Adwords. You can easily buy your way to the top and skip all of that SEO stuff if you prefer by using the PPC programs available online. If you want to go this route, then take a moment to quickly finish the 7-step program.

1. Register at one of the PPC sites.
2. Supply your credit card number
3. Deposit some cash into your PPC account
4. Create some ads
5. Supply your title, body, links to your ads and to the page that you want to direct your visitors
6. Use relevant keywords
7. Bid on the keywords that are most relevant to your web pages

Pay per click allows you to buy your way to the top search engines. All you need to do is follow the seven step program, or you can opt to go the SEO way. Remember, there has been a lot of people who’ve tried SEO over pay per click and has failed. Why do they fail, because they fail to get a good understanding of how SEO really works?
