Examples of Duplicate Content

Take a job listing website. If the job listings are nearly identical on every page of the site for the searches and employers you could have a duplicate content problem according to the search engines. Most web sites realize this issue and try to avoid the same content on each page. There are three widely known types of duplicate content you should be aware of.

The first time of duplicate content is referred to as duplicate web page. In this case the content is identical to another web page. It could be an affiliate site with the same design and content for all. It could also be ecommerce sites that have the same product descriptions offered by the manufacturer. Landing pages on the internet are also highly risky to have as they are often duplicate content.

Scraped content is when you repackage information from another site so that it will be unique, but it is usually content from other sites. The information is typically changed around or rewritten to appear new. This can cause issues for the search engines, especially as blogging continues in which case there are multiple blogs by the same person.
