You also need to make sure that the page you add your resource to will be important to your site. For example, if someone follows the link from Wikipedia will they find it important or not? You also need to get a high page ranking from the page, so make sure that it is a symbiotic relationship all around.

Lastly with Wikipedia the value of your page will contribute to them. This means that the content needs to make sense and that you are both going to have to find a common ground. Chances are if you are on topic with the Wikipedia page you are in a good position.

Look around to make sure that you are definitely getting a benefit. You can view several topics in Wikipedia and choose the ones that make the most sense for your link. This way you will get to stay.
