In this case you are offering to tell someone how great their products or services are in exchange for help in promoting your site. If you need to you can use a search to find testimonials that have been used in the past. This will help you see what a good one looks like so you can then create your own.
Free Links can also involve free web pages and profiles. We mentioned this a bit in other areas. Social networking sites are free. They allow you to create a profile and then use it to gain friends through blogs. You can link to your actual site through this in telling people who you are and what you do for a living. This is the only place you want a direct link. The other links should be made as a result of the friends you gain. You need a high page rank, but you don’t want to fall in to the area of penalties. Penalties take away your ability to get the ranking you need or even to keep your website.
