Website Marketing with Domain Names - Part 3
The Do’s for Creating a Website
There is a list of factors you should keep in mind when trying to create a search engine friendly website. If you fail to keep these things in mind you could end up in the basement of the internet never to be found again. The first thing you need to do is have an HTML for content.
In other words to be indexed by a search engine you need to have a simple HTML text format. Using Flash, Ajax, JavaScript, or even frames can make it harder for the search engine to troll your site and therefore your rankings will drop.
Using HTML for links is also important. You need to make sure your content and links are easy to use not hidden under flashy technology. Next you should be concerned with making the most of your site map. If you don’t know what a site map is or how to create one you need to find out before launching your site. A site map is a way for a visitor and search engine to get around your site with ease. You also need to make sure that search engines are not going to waste time looking at unnecessary files regarding your page, so using a robots.txt.file can help you.
