In the same vein as the big iPhone there are rumours that the iPod Touch will receive a boost with some predicting that a 64gb device is to be unveiled at the Macworld conference. If this did turn out to be true it would be a telling sign of just how much the iPod has proliferated, not only as a music player but as device for playing movies and watching TV shows, after all, your average person doesn’t quite have 64 gigs of music.
According to the rumour mill, the cheaper iPods are also due a Macworld makeover with a new inexpensive (some say very inexpensive) iPod shuffle about the size of a debit card apparently making its debut.
Away from the iPod/Phone side of the business there are many who believe that there will be a new faster, more powerful Mac Mini announced. There may well also be a brand new iMac.
Of course, even if he is not a part of the keynote himself, Jobs will dominate the chatter around Macworld, such is the influence this man exerts on the trade fair. If you’re attending, expect jobs’ health, career plans, retirement date to feature heavily in conversation. There may even be an announcement…
But don’t hold your breath for that.
