What is Latent Semantic Analysis?

Do you have a website? If you do there are certain things you should know regarding how to make your website more valuable to the internet as a whole and to your consumers. For instance there is a term latent semantic analysis that applies to website content. Latent semantic analysis is a process in which the natural language or order of words is analyzed.

You will find that the relationship between documents is going to be analyzed as well as the keywords the content contains. In other words latent semantic analysis is a way for search engines to analyze your web content for duplicate content as well as quality.

Latent Semantic Analysis began in the late 1980’s by Scott Deerwester, Susan Dumais, George Furnas, and several others. You will find that they use a property called occurrence matrix. This concept allows for the documents or web pages to be analyzed for certain words that appear a number of times.

In other words the calculation will determine how much keyword density lies in a product published on the web or in a document and then determine the validity of such uses. If the use is termed good quality you will find the rank of your web page will be higher in a search engine.
