Keyword Stuffing and Automated Redirects

Keyword stuffing is when you take a keyword that you place in your site more than is natural. Here’s the thing, you may believe you have hidden the keywords in your site from the average viewer, but Google is designed to sniff out these keyword stuffing practices so that you will never be able to get away with it.

The thing you need to recall is write for the audience. You don’t want to write for the spiders. Instead if you write for your audience the keywords will naturally flow and save you from the land of penalty.

Automated redirects are another area in which you could be deducted points. Meta and Javascript are redirects that you may think you need; however Google believes they are not on the up and up. In other words they figure it is some type of spam or scam. The reason for this is that they can be conceived as doorway pages. There is a proper way to set up these redirects without looking bad. It is best that you learn these rules before you try something on your website that could cause you more problems in the end. The idea is that if Google can ferret out the gray area you are in then they most likely will.
