Your Online Guideline to Avoiding Penalties from Google - Part 12
Types of Google Penalties
There are several types of Google Penalties and it is important to understand each one.
Ranking Penalty 6: This is the latest penalty given by Google. The penalty results from stagnant link building on your website, over SEO, and conspiracy by Google to find wrong.
50 Paid Links is another penalty which results from buying your way into a page rank. In other words you have purchased links through some type of website that allows for the sale of text links. The penalty is also related to link exchanges that cause suspicion with the Google algorithm.
Page Rank Penalty: this penalty is derived from Google when they take your initial page rank and lower it by two spans in just a few days. The reason this happens is related to selling links and sponsored blog posts to encourage customers to your site. The idea is that you don’t have any posts on sites that would be considered in appropriate advertising.
Suppression Penalty is when you have a site that uses guestbook’s to advertise. In other words you went to a site and instead of signing the guestbook you placed a link to your own website to get more visitors. The penalty is also given for redirects.
