When you obtain a temporary rank of good standing on Google you are not doing yourself any favours. You are instead hindering your real motive. You should really be trying for the “stay rank” Google offers to the best websites. The “stay rank” should be a goal of five years if not more than that. Your aim should be to have the top ranking website for as long as you possibly can and there are several suggestions in how to gain this.
The first fact is the wrong back links can offer one of the highest Google penalties you need to avoid. Many webmasters try to get as many back links as they can without a conscious thought of where they come from. You will find that the amount of back links does raise your page rank for a little while, but once Google searches out these links to find they have little to do with your site topic they are considered irrelevant and your score drops. Your score can also drop due to buying these back links on sites with high Page Rank, stuffing your content with keywords, and cross linking. Each of these issues will drop you into an abyss that will keep your page lost forever or until you decide to fix it.
