Search Engine Marketing and Google

Perhaps the most used search engine marketing is through Google, and everyone shares the same goal, i.e. the ranking is sought after by all marketers. If you want to be found by anyone, you must be listed with Google. Millions of people search Google daily. To succeed, you must make the sacrifice to the Google gods. However, search engine marketing is not as complex as most believe.
               

Google will let you know what words are being looked for that happen to pertain to what you are trying to sell. You can then choose to use one, two or all of them to obtain a lot of traffic to your site.
               

First, find the word or words you want to use and track your progress daily. Set up ad campaigns for each one. Try to match similar wording against each other to see which one works the best. It could be a small a difference as widget or widgets. One simple letter may be the big thing that stands between failure and success. Keep tweaking the words, monitor always and you will soon have a flood of people knocking on your door, or in this case, flooding to your website.
               

Second, use the successful keywords on your pages, this will help the search engines even more as consistency is very powerful and the search engines love it. Again, you need to keep the ads running, be tweaked as necessary and the same for the landing pages of your site.
               

Google will help you all it can. It will even let you place ads on your site to help you get a better ranking. And you can place ads on others websites that link back to yours. The more links the better Google likes you, and your website.
               

One of the least looked at aspect of your ad campaign and your website is it fresh?


This means fresh content that has not been ingested, chewed up and spit back out numerous times again, over and over and over. Search engines do not like stale content. Fresh content is like a breath mint to the search spiders. So not overlook this as it can be the one thing that will kill your efforts.
               

Search engines like to see websites that are alive, new, fresh and creative. That uses the keywords in a way that is optimal, not overused and used so sporadically that it does not register with the engines. Beginners not familiar with this will make the mistake of having their content so laden with keywords that a normal person like you and me could not read the page easily, this is not a good choice. Can be tricky, but the page has to utilize keywords in a way that the page does not lose its ability to be read without difficulty.
               

Regulate your search engine marketing strategies; no one wants to wade through a page that reads like Shakespeare or Chaucer. People will leave the site in a hurry and so will the search engines. And all you hard work in search engine marketing will be for naught. it can seem to be a daunting task to get this right, it does not have to be. Follow some simple guidelines and you will do fine. You may not be #1 on Google, but that is not always necessary, the first page is usually good enough.
