More hints and tips on how to build a great display ad with Display Ad Builder (continued from yesterday’s article).
3. Experiment with a variety of templates. Give each one you are considering a specific period of time and look at the analytics tools. It’ll be pretty obvious which one is performing best.
4. Have a think about whether you need to separate your ads into a specific ad group. One of the benefits of doing this is that you will be able to set individual bids for the ads. You may, for instance, need to make a particularly high bid for your display ad to make it rank higher than other competing ads. This also allows you to use different keywords to your other ad groups without affecting their performance.
5. This is a little obvious but do check to make sure the ads show your URL clearly in a colour that shows up well against the background. You should also make sure that absolutely all images are smaller than 50KB. If they’re larger than this your ad simply won’t run.
Well, I hope that’s helped. The only thing left to do now is to try it out… Good luck.
