The resounding success of Google’s Adword’s service has been felt Yahoo as they this week have announced that they will be shutting down their alternative known as Yahoo Publisher Network. This has evidently put the wind in Google’s sail as they have announced a new platform for online advertising.
Google state that they see their advertising products primarily as sources of information. The type of information provided by these advertisements is getting more and more varied and inventive and because of this the ads are getting more social and more interesting.
In order to help marketers connect with internet users in a more creative and meaningful way Google has built a new tool known as Google Ad innovations.
This tool is designed to focus primarily on the user with new features such as ‘Search Funnels’ which are a set of Adword’s reports that can help the advertiser better understand what keywords in their account may help to drive sales at a later date.
Google have promised to continuously add new features to the service which goes live this week.
