OK, the power of getting traffic to your site by being listed on the homepage of Digg is huge, with over 1 million registered users, hit the homepage and expect a torrent of visits! The question is then, how do i get my site on the Digg homepage? This is what i am going to try and show you how to do, and is a great addition to a successful Search Engine Optimisation strategy!
So, you write a great article, submit it to Digg and then sit back and wait for the Digg explosion to begin, only to find the next day that you just recieved 4 Diggs and your great article has been swallowed by the Digg archive!
Behold, the Digg secret (or not so secret now)
As a new user you might look at the articles that make it to the home page and wonder how they get there, or how the same people always have their articles receiving hundreds if not thousands of Diggs, regularly. The answer is quite simple, the top Digg users all will have an established ‘social network’ of friends on the site who always vote for their submissions and visa-versa.
Building your own network of friends is something that anyone can do, it only requires 15 to 30 minutes of your time daily, perseverance and patience.
I will show you how to do this and as a result, greatly increase you chances of hitting that Digg home page and reaping the rewards.
