Iphone Nano looks more likely by the day
On Monday we reported that Thai shops have already started selling fake Iphone Nanos, a fairly clear hint that Apple is preparing one for release in the near future. Well, here’s another one; phone case manufacturers XSKN and Vaja have built new sections on their websites for iPhone Nano cases.
The fact that XSKN in particular have done this is significant. In the past their cases have correctly predicted the dimensions of the 4th version of the iPod Nano and the 3G Iphone.
It’s unlikely that a phone case maker has been given any kind of official nod from Apple about the iPhone nano, though it’s also unlikely that these companies would simply ‘take a flier’ and announce that they will be offering nano cases because they think the phone might become available. Significantly no product shots are yet available which leads you to believe that even if these companies do know there’s going to be a nano, they may not know the dimensions. At least not yet.
For my money the most likely thing is that one of these companies, most likely XSKN, has somebody on the inside willing to feed them information about new releases ahead of time. If you think about it it’s not that farfetched, Apple have been a little bit leaky recently.
