CEO of Google Larry Page, has revealed that their progression into mobile and social has proved rather lucrative for the search engine giant, reporting that revenue generated from run rate mobile markets is up from $1 billion in 2010 to an impressive $2.5 billion this year, an increase of 150% over the twelve month period. In addition to their successes in the mobile market, there are now more than 40 million users registered with their nascent social networking site Google+ and according to their figures, 3.4 billion photos have already been uploaded by users to the social site launched in the summer of this year.
