AdCenter Desktop Beta has been out for a good few months now but we have only now taken the time to look at it and boy are we impressed! Microsoft began the road to the desktop beta with its AdCenter Add-In for Excel 07, a very slim line version, has now been developed into a full desktop application the likes of which may even make Google quake!
The tool is really an offline extension of their online tools, blossoming in the areas of bulk campaign management, a creation wizard and research tools with a clean, crisp and familiar interface.
It looks like Microsoft will continue with the development of its web-based tools as well as the offline application where some of functions will only be added to one and possibly not the other.
The advantages for an application like this are endless, just being able to spend time creating a well thought out campaign, being able to check it through, make changes and additions all without it being live is great. Specially for the bigger campaigns which require far more thought.
So all in all, a great piece of software which will hopefully benefit all when it converts to a public release which is unfortunately still in private beta – however – you can apply for it here: http://advertising.microsoft.com/adcenter-beta-pilot-signup
Enjoy.
